This is a very fine uncut triangular needle with one barb on each edge. It is the thinnest needle we carry, and we were lucky to obtain them as they are no longer being manufactured. The three total barbs are all spaced about 3mm from the tip. There will be no apparent holes left behind with typical vinyl kits. It's a great multi-purpose needle for all of the hair we carry. Since it is thinner and the barbs are shallower than the 42g, it is less likely to pull multiple hairs into the hole when punching through a large bundle of hair. However, it is still best to hold only a small amount of hair while rooting. It works beautifully for the style of rooting in which one hair is isolated then punched in.
